PETE & ROYCE "Suffering of Tomorrow" & "Days of Destruction" 2LPs in 1CD release

PETE & ROYCE were one of the few local progressive bands operating in the greek late 70s underground scene. Led by painter Panayiotis Tsiros, they have made a name in the underground network, based on lengthy "hazy" concerts and an uncompromising underground attitude. Their sound was deeply rooted in the UK progressive scene, sitting somewhere between the prog/psych sound of mid-period PINK FLOYD and the mellotron school (FANTASY, CRESSIDA, KESTREL, early B.J.H.), resulting in a style heavily relying on mellow soundscapes.

During spring 1980 they captured on self-released vinyl the best tracks of their live shows. "Suffering of Tomorrow", was one of the very first greek private releases (on the mysterious Octoichos label) and the band's debut album, loosely based on the concept of death and decay (it is dedicated to Tsiros' deceased brother). A period piece undoubtfuly, but with that exquisite basement feel encountered in the early 70ies british proto-progressive bands it is one of the essential Greek progressive albums of all times. Their second offering "Days of Destruction" (1981 _Ocean) was somewhat more unevenly balanced, as folky progressive influences were blended together with a heavier more rock oriented approach; some light funkish sounds and guest female vocals. Yet eerie and inventive as their debut. They disbanded in 1982, during the era of the punk boom, due to general indifference towards their recorded output and their members were lost from the music scene.

 

Both extremely rare LPs of PETE & ROYCE are both available on a "side by side" 2 in one deluxe cd edition (mini LP sleeve including poster / insert with extensive liner notes and rare photos) on COSMIC EYE's parent label MusicBazz Corporation (http://www.musicbazz.com).

Debut full length from this moody Peruvian ambient neokraut combo MONTIBUS COMMUNITAS which is an AYAHUASCA DARK TRIP's  related band, on the more ritual side of cosmic music. Long instrumental excursions into cosmic electronics with a strong ethnic flavour. This spiritual and melodic piece of cosmic art is a heady collection of ritualistic ethno ambient that manifests and commemorates the holiness of the Peruvian mountains. Mountains Community restore that mantric ambience of Oneness.

Official physical release of this 2010 digitally available album. AYAHUASCA DARK TRIP are an international project deeply rooted in the most trippy acid doom, space rock tradition. Multiple jams molten down into slabs of doomy head heaviness, full of acid guitar leads that are dissolving into spacerock. Downright "lysergic" stuff, uncompromising in its approach and fearless in the creation of hypnotic music which combines doom metal, acid psychedelia and spacerock into an intense and explosive trip.

The Eye Awakens

Musicbazz Corporation proudly announces the creation of a new label, COSMIC EYE records.

Focusing on head music of all sorts; space rock, cosmic electronics, krautrock, psychedelia, far-out doom metal, acid folk etc., we are scheduling official CD & LP releases of:

·         previously unreleased recordings of established bands of the above mentioned genres,

·         privately limited circulated releases on cassette or CDr format from the period 1985 up to now,

·         brand new releases of promising contemporary bands.

Upcoming releases will be distributed through the Musicbazz Corporation web site plus worldwide acknowledged retailers and distributors. Additionally, downloadable formats will be available through Musicbazz Corporation.
